Manchester City are one of two Premier League representatives in the Club World Cup
The new look Club World Cup kicks off this week with 32 teams competing in the expanded tournament in America.
Manchester City travel as defending champions having won the 2023 edition, although two years on the competition looks vastly different after FIFA somewhat controversially revamped the format.
There will now be eight groups of four before a knockout phase, meaning the victor will have to navigate seven matches to get their hands on the trophy.
City will be joined by Chelsea as the Premier League representatives with the Blues victory in the 2021 Champions League securing their spot.
But the likes of Premier League champions Liverpool, runners-up Arsenal and Europa League runners-up Manchester United are not involved.

UEFA teams were selected for the Club World Cup based on past European performances with the last four Champions League winners - including City and Chelsea - guaranteed a spot.
The remainder of the eight spots allocated to Europe were determined by a club ranking over the four-year period via the UEFA club coefficient.
There was also a two-team limit placed on the number of qualifiers from the same country with the only exception being made for winners of the Champions League.
Because there were no other English winners of the Champions League in the qualifying period, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and United missed out. Continental heavyweights Barcelona are also absent while the likes of Serie A champions Napoli are also absent.
Joining City and Chelsea in the competition are Spanish pair Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, German duo Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, newly-crowned Champions League holders PSG, Italian sides Inter Milan and Juventus, Portuguese outfits Porto and Benfica and Austrian side RB Salzburg.
