Bayern Munich’s pursuit of PSG’s Bradley Barcola would be ‘complicated’

According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk, Tobi Altschäffl, and Michel Schröer (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl has had a longstanding interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola that dates back to the executive’s time at RB Leipzig in 2023.

However, a move for Barcola would be ‘complicated’ and therefore unlikely at this stage:

Max Eberl had already had direct contact with Bradley Barcola in 2023 when he was Leipzig sporting director. Back then, Eberl flew to Paris in person to meet the player and his family. Barcola was playing for Olympique Lyon but later moved to PSG that summer. Barcola is someone Eberl knows well and appreciates - and has renewed his interest in him now with Bayern. However, the Frenchman is under contract until 2028 and PSG sees him as a future superstar, so a potential move is complicated.

In recent days, the focus has shifted from Barcola to Athletic Club’s Nico Williams. With Leroy Sané leaving for Galatasaray, the Bavarians will need to lock in on an attainable target and get a deal done soon.
