For a large period of this summer transfer window so far, Manchester United have been focussing their recruitment in one area – attack.
This comes with the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and the reported targeting of both Bryan Mbuemo and Viktor Gyokeres as other potential options for the United frontline.

Rumoured Departures
However, this has meant that other players currently in the Red Devils squad have had to consider their futures at the club.
This can be seen through the rumoured departures within the squad which includes youth academy graduates Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho alongside Danish international Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund, who joined the club in 2023, had been a focal point of the United attacking line during the 2023-24 season scoring on 10 occasions whilst also assisting twice in a campaign that was record breaking for the 22 year old.
However, in the 2024-25 season, the number 9 has failed to hit the same heights only scoring on 4 occasions during the 32 matches he played in the Premier League last campaign.
This has led to speculation and reporting that Hojlund could be on his way out of the club with it looking most likely that the striker would be going to Inter Milan.

Hope For Rasmus Hojlund
However, now it has been reported by Rob Dawson at EPSN that there is still “some faith that Rasmus Hojlund can become a prolific front-line striker for Manchester United”.
This report arguably hints towards a more positive future for Rasmus Hojlund at Manchester United although does not put full faith in Rasmus Hojlund to be a front-line striker at the club.
A Future Undecided
With the 22 year old’s future at Manchester United undecided and with pre-season rapidly approaching at Old Trafford, a decision will have to be made quickly if Hojlund is either to stay at the club or move onto another prospect away from the Red Devils.
