The Cameroonian custodian Andre Onana of Manchester United may be moving this summer after a season marred by errors.

Although the head coach may be secretly intending to look for an improvement in goalkeeping at Old Trafford, Ruben Amorim has openly supported his current goalie thus far.

“If you look at the season, I’ve made more mistakes than them during these last games and during these last months,” Amorim stated after Onana committed two crucial errors in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal match against Lyon.

“The most crucial thing is to be natural, and when the time comes, I will select the best starting lineup to play since there is nothing I can say to Andre right now that will help him. However, I have a lot of faith in Andre.

But in recent weeks, there have been rumours that Manchester United would be searching for a new number one.

And now, the Cameroon goalkeeper has finally decided to break his silence on his future at the Red Devils.

From a video by Stéphane Bassalia Ouattara via AllezLesLions on X, Andre Onana was asked about his future at Manchester United in which he smiled and replied :

“Will I leave? I don’t know, we’ll see!”

His answer is one of both mystery and confusion.

While not explicitly saying he will leave, he also didn’t confirm that he is staying for sure either.

A fresh change of club may be the best for the goalkeeper however.

Onana has struggled a lot to embed in the Premier League making constant errors to goals over the last two years.

The theme has continued into the current season as Onana made a number of high-profile errors during his inconsistent debut campaign.

A new change of club may be best for all parties.
