Andy Robertson is reportedly a top target for Atletico Madrid this summer.
The Liverpool star is heading into the final 12 months of his current deal at the English Premier League champions and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that the La Liga big hitters see him as the ideal candidate for their left-back search.
He goes on to state that Robertson is 'keen on joining Atleti and initial talks have started' - but does claim it would not be an easy deal to do with Arne Slot's men as they rate him highly, even with Milos Kerkez set to arrive on Merseyside.
Scotland skipper Robertson - who was part of Steve Clarke's squad for the June double-header with Iceland and Liechtenstein - recently spoke out on his Liverpool future.
He said: “We have discussed [my future], of course we have.
"We’ve had good discussions, me and the club, but what the future holds, I’m not sure.
"All I know is I fly off on holiday and it’s well needed. I need a rest after a long season, and then I look forward to pre-season. That’s all my focus is.
“I can’t look too far ahead, I never have done that so I’m not going to start doing that now.
"I know the position I’m in, I know I’ve only got a year left. A lot’s getting spoken about it, a lot’s getting said, but my pure focus is focussing on being a dad for the next couple of weeks and enjoying that time with the kids.
“Then I’ll try and come back in the best shape possible for pre-season, and then we’ll see what the future holds when those decisions come.”

Robbo is closing in on 350 games for Liverpool after joining from Hull City back in 2017 in what has proved excellent business for the Reds.
He lifted his second EPL title at the end of the season and has tasted plenty of trophy success at Anfield.
He's also won the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup twice alongside a Super Cup.
Should the 31-year-old move to Madrid, he would join good pal Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Spanish capital.
Although, on the pitch they would be rivals with the England star recently completing his move to Real Madrid.
