I'm tired. Are you tired?
They won. Right?
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a legend. Pinch me.
OKC fans have now experienced what it's like to win two games in the Finals, and lordy I don't know how we're gonna survive another two.
It's good to be a fan. It's charmed to be fanatical about Oklahoma City Thunder basketball. So why do I feel like I need a vacation after watching a Friday night win?
It was an epic game. It's been an extremely compelling Finals. Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons react to the latest legendary moments:
"3 threes, 11 assists, and they won by 7 on the road."
The Hoops Collective gave the Thunder credit for intentionally running primary action through Jalen Williams earlier in the game, sparing Shai's energy to close after he had looked gassed to finish Game 3. But if SGA hadn't gone MJ last night, we wouldn't be giving OKC kudos for saving Shai's legs while digging a hole with clunky offense. I have not been an alarmist about the Thunder's overall performance the last two postseasons, but it's just a fact that the team's offense is prone to falling completely apart against playoff competition, outside of Shai.
[Thunder steal win in Indy, even Finals 2-2
OKC 111 IND 104 (Finals tied 2-2) The Thunder are closer to a title than they’ve ever been before. In what might soon be recognized as a career-defining closing stretch by Shai (35 pts, 3 rbs, 0 ast, 4 stk), Shai delivered 15 mega clutch points to close the fourth

Although it's not Game 4 content, I highly recommend the first few minutes of this recent Rights to Rickey Sanchez episode, where our old friend Andrew Schlecht reminisces about riding the wave of Thunder fandom and Down to Dunk's success from the beginning.
And as always, Down to Dunk debriefed the delirium that we subject ourselves to by following this team. Worth it.
Happy weekend. Get some rest. Thank you for your support of Daily Thunder.
