LeBron James Has Honest Admission About Winning 2020 Title

If LeBron James decided to retire today and never play another second in the NBA, his place would already be cemented in history.

He’s one of the greatest to ever do it, and his list of accolades is too long to list.

James has done it all, from MVPs to NBA Finals victories, but there was one Finals victory that seems to stick out in his mind.

He recently had a conversation with Steve Nash on the “Mind The Game” podcast, talking about his experience in the bubble during the 2020 NBA Finals.

The bubble was an interesting situation for all involved, to say the least, but amid a pandemic, it was the best the league had to offer.

After winning the Finals, instead of wanting to stick around and celebrate with his teammates, James instead told Nash that he “went back to his room and started packing,” indicating that he just wanted to get out of the bubble as soon as possible.

“I went back to my room and started packing my sh*t…I can’t wait to get the hell out of here.”

Being in the bubble meant that players couldn’t spend much time, if any, with their loved ones, which made for a lonely experience.

Even off-court interactions with teammates were minimal, as social distancing and mask-wearing were paramount at the time.

In the end, James and his teammates got their rings in a shortened season.

Some believe this to be a knock on his resume, that his most recent ring has an asterisk of sorts, but he and the Los Angeles Lakers played the games that were in front of them.

Fans are curious to see if that will be the last ring of James’ career, or if he has another one left in him.
