Rick Carlisle Has Honest Admission About Tough Loss On Friday

For much of Game 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, it looked like the Indiana Pacers could seal a 3-1 series lead.

But then the Thunder came storming back and eventually grabbed a 111-104 win.

Following the game, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle talked to ESPN and the press about the process of getting through the Finals and how difficult it is.

“It’s long. It’s arduous. But it’s the greatest opportunity going,” Carlisle said. “It’s really hard, and it’s supposed to be hard. This is where we’re going to have to dig in and circle the wagons and come back stronger on Monday. This is a big disappointment, but there’s three games left. This series is going to come down to the basics. … This kind of a challenge is going to have extreme highs and extreme lows. This is a low right now, and we’re going to have to bounce back from it.”

Things got tough for the Pacers on Friday, and they’ll only get tougher in the days ahead.

The series is now returning to Oklahoma City, which means the Thunder will be even more fired up and ready to perform for their fans.

The good news for the Pacers is that they have already stolen a game in OKC, and so they might be able to do it again.

They could be in worse shape than 2-2, and they are not.

Carlisle said the series will come down to the basics of basketball.

If that’s the truth, then either team could win the championship this year.

Everything is tied up, and the fans aren’t sure what’s going to happen next.

Carlisle knows it’ll be difficult, but he believes his Pacers are up for the challenge.
