Mark Daigneault Uses 1 Word To Describe Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Performance

The final quarter of Game 4 of the NBA Finals belonged to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He went wild in the last 12 minutes, posting 15 of his 35 points and helping his team score a huge 111-104 victory.

Following the game, Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault talked to ESPN about all that his star player and league MVP can do.

“It’s unbelievable,” Daigneault said. “He really didn’t have it going a lot of the night. He was laboring. We had a hard time shaking him free. For him to be able to flip the switch like that and get the rhythm he got just speaks to how great of a player he is. Again, it’s nothing we don’t know. But he definitely showed who he is tonight.”

It really did look like the Indiana Pacers were going to take a 3-1 series lead.

For most of Game 4, they were able to get past the Thunder and made Gilgeous-Alexander look good, but not great.

But then he turned it on in the fourth quarter and helped the Thunder climb past the Pacers.

Daigneault wasn’t the only one blown away by Gilgeous-Alexander.

It felt like everyone, especially Pacers fans sitting courtside, was shocked to see him suddenly turn a corner and once again play like the MVP he is.

Because of his heroics in the fourth, the Thunder have now tied the series, and they are going back to Oklahoma City for Game 5.

Will Gilgeous-Alexander play like this for every minute of the next game?

If so, how can the Pacers combat that and earn a much-needed win?
