The Kansas City Chiefs and star tight end Travis Kelce are back together for at least one more season. Despite offseason retirement rumors, Kelce has decided to run it back for the 2025 season, and his future is not decided after the upcoming campaign.
After coming up short in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce wants to make another run. Entering the upcoming season, he's doing everything he can to get back to playing at an elite level after a down year in 2024.
Kelce has made a major change ahead of the 2025 season.
As shared by ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Chiefs' tight end has made a major change to his physical appearance. He has slimmed down considerably.

Fowler revealed the update on Kelce during an appearance on "SportsCenter."
"The Chiefs knew that Kelce was going to be gone this week," Fowler said. "He's expected back for minicamp. He'll address the media, be on the practice field-all that fun stuff. And he will debut a bit of a slimmer look. He's told people close to him that he's lost about 25 pounds this offseason."
Working his way into better shape could be exactly what Kelce needs to get back on track. His numbers last season were solid, but not great.
Speaking of his 2024 season, Kelce played in 16 games. He caught 97 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns.
Again, there's nothing to be upset about from those numbers, but Kelce has produced a lot more than that throughout his career. He's looking to take every step he can to lead Kansas City back to the Super Bowl and to take the next step to add another ring.

Back in March, Kelce spoke out about his performance last season. He wasn't very proud of the year he put together. Kelce believes he can still play at a very high level and make a major impact.
"I still feel like I can play at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year," Kelce said. "I don't think it was my best outing, you know? I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past. You know, I want to give it a good run. I got a bad taste in my mouth about how I ended the year and how well I was playing, and how accountable I was for the people around me."
It will be interesting to see what the 2025 season has in store for Kelce and the Chiefs. He's working hard to increase his individual performance, and dropping 25 pounds could help him become a much more dynamic weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
