Despite recent widespread speculation linking him with moves away from Anfield, Liverpool’s highly-rated goalkeeper Alisson Becker has publicly reiterated his commitment to the club for the foreseeable future.
The 32-year-old Brazilian has been the subject of intense transfer rumors, including recent reports of interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray and several Saudi Arabian clubs.
Concerns among some sections of the fanbase arose with the impending arrival of Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, leading to suggestions that Alisson’s position as Liverpool’s undisputed No.1 could be challenged.
However, the Brazilian shot-stopper has firmly put such notions to rest, confirming his intention to remain at Liverpool for at least another two years.

Alisson’s consistent world-class performances, including what he described as potentially his “best career performance” against Paris Saint-Germain in March, make any immediate ousting from the starting lineup seem highly improbable.
“Personally, I have never been able to plan for the long term,” Alisson said via O Globo. “Obviously, I have one year left on my contract and another year of option from the club. They will probably exercise that option.
“I think about what I have in hand, about doing a great job, it is a decisive moment in my career, with a World Cup approaching. I want to be very focused, I don’t want any planning to get in the way of this great goal. I want to return to Brazilian football, specifically to Inter, I can’t say when, but I want to. And I intend to return at a high level. That’s what I have planned, if that is what planning is.”
Liverpool supporters can anticipate more of the same exceptional displays from their goalkeeper next season.
While Alisson has acknowledged a desire to one day return to play in Brazil, he has indicated that such a move is not expected anytime soon. For now, Liverpool fans can rest assured that their star goalkeeper remains firmly focused on his immediate future at Anfield.
