Veteran center to stay in Houston through 2028

After missing the entire 2023–24 season due to knee surgery, Adams returned to the court this year with a point to prove.

He played in 57 regular season games, averaging 3.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in under 14 minutes per game. His efficiency on the offensive glass stood out, ranking among league leaders in offensive rebounding percentage.

In the postseason, Adams' impact grew. He logged 22.1 minutes per game across Houston’s seven-game first-round series, averaging 5.7 points and 6.6 rebounds. Rockets coach Ime Udoka leaned into a double-big lineup featuring Adams and rising star Alperen Şengün—a pairing that provided defensive stability and rebounding muscle.
