Arsenal have the opportunity to bring in some new signings this summer
Arsenal will be pushing for the Premier League title once again next season. They missed out again in the last campaign, this time to Liverpool. The Gunners have the chance to bring in some new signings this summer to freshen up their ranks.
They also have the opportunity to let some players leave the club. Mikel Arteta is in desperate need of a new striker over the next couple of months. With that in mind, we have asked AI to predict their upcoming window...
Arsenal to strengthen midfield department
Arsenal have been predicted sign Douglas Luiz from Juventus by AI. The Brazil international, who has made 18 caps for his country to date, has struggled to make an impact in Serie A so far. He made the move to Turin 12 months ago but his future is up in the air again now.
Luiz, 27, would give the Gunners more competition and depth in the middle of the park. He was a hit during his days at Aston Villa from 2019 to 2024. The Rio-born man made 204 appearances for the Midlands outfit and scored 22 goals. AI has backed Arsenal to snap up attacking midfielder Arda Guler from Real Madrid in a surprise move. The 20-year-old has played a lot of football so far in his career for someone of his age. He still has plenty of time on his side and has bags of potential.
The youngster broke into Fenerbahce’s first-team as a teenager before landing his big money transfer to La Liga. He has since played 55 matches for his current club and has found the net on 11 occasions. However, he isn’t always a regular starter.
Arsenal to add more quality to their attack
It has been well documented how much Arsenal need a new number nine. They ended last term with Mikel Merino up top after Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz’s injuries. For that reason, AI has tipped them to bring in Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. The ex-Borussia Dortmund and Real Sociedad man would be absolutely perfect for the Gunners. He is a proven goal scorer and is the main man in the North East. However, he has a hefty price tag of £150million so won’t come cheap.
An alternative to Isak is Aston Villa hotshot Ollie Watkins. The boyhood Arsenal fan has been backed to move to the Emirates Stadium by AI. He has scored 87 goals in 223 matches since his transfer to Villa Park, 17 of which came last term.
He started his career at Exeter City and went on to become a regular for their senior team. Brentford then came calling in 2017 and he caught the eye with the Bees under their former head coach Dean Smith. He then later ended up at Villa in 2020 and he hasn’t looked back since. A more cost effective option has been recommended by AI too. Lille’s Jonathan David sees his contract expire in a matter of weeks. That means he will become available as a free agent which makes him an interesting proposition.
The 25-year-old would plug a gap for Arsenal and they wouldn’t need to pay anything for him other than wages which would be a major bonus. He has fired 109 goals in 232 outings since heading to France back in 2020 from Gent in Belgium. The Canadian attacker will be weighing up his options right now.
