Plenty of questions surround a receiver rooms for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that is in a sense in transition ... and yet with the arrow pointing up.
All-Pro Mike Evans is 31 years old, Chris Godwin is recovering from significant injuries, and first-round pick Emeka Egbuka will compete with second-year receiver Jalen McMillan for playing time.
Despite all the concerns this position group carries, one fact remains.
When healthy, this is one of the best receiving rooms in the league.
Evans argued that - and more - during minicamp this week. The Pro Bowl receiver felt that the entire receiver room could be the best in the league from top to bottom.
"I know I say it a lot, but this might be the best receiver room I've been a part of," Evans said. "I say it every year, but we always get great players coming in, so that's been very fortunate for me in my career to be around a lot of great young players, and they've added to the room tremendously.
"They're very polished already. Emeka, really strong hands, super smart. Tez (another rookie in Johnson), speed, quickness."
Life is certainly made easy for Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield if all his weapons are to be available. The former first-overall pick from 2018 throws the football to top-notch guys on every down.
Evans may end up having undersold the group ... if they can find a way to stay healthy.
In fact, if Evans and Goodwin and company achieve big things in the playoffs? They have the potential to be considered one of the better grou[s of the era .. considering a first-round rookie from this year may only be good enough as a fourth-option this season.
Tampa Bay's offense should be one of the best in the NFL in 2025. Mayfield will play a key role in that, as will the unit's offensive line.
At the end of the day, though, with as deep as their receivers room is? Evans and company might carry the load.
