Gary Trent Jr. made the most three points per game for the Milwaukee Bucks in the playoffs. He also has the second highest percentage from that line behind AJ Green. He should have been a hero, too, for them if not for team collapse late in the last two games.

The 26-year-old shooting guard signed a minimum to be with Milwaukee and it is basically like an audition for a bigger contract. He emerged as one of the most important piece for the team with his performance. Now it begs the question, will he re-sign with the team?
That is a question that is yet to be answered but don’t be surprised if he gets poached by another team this offseason.
Jake Fisher in his podcast said Trent Jr. is attracting many suitors in this free agency although he did not name who these teams are.

Milwaukee Bucks officials want GT back
Behind the Buck Pass writer William Moxon suggests the Bucks should make him a priority as him staying will also be huge for Antetokounmpo.
Nobody on the court for the Bucks showed themselves in a good light in that moment. Trent has shown that he can be a trustworthy contributor to play alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lillard. He is always available, works hard defensively, and can score at all three levels. Keeping him would take some weight off Giannis’ shoulders on offense, and the Bucks will have to pay up for it.
The front office is leaning towards having him in the line-up again.
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s beat writer, Jim Owczarski said in his Reddit AMA that the team might give him a bigger contract than the one he initially signed up for.

“I know GTJ is looking for the bag, and my understanding is he could get between $8-10M this summer,” Owczarski wrote.
“Could the Bucks break up their NTMLE between GTJ and KPJ? Sure. Hard to say at this juncture…we might learn a bit more about the potential market soon.”
