Manchester City have been linked with a big-money move for Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento.
Tino Livramento is set on winning more trophies at Newcastle United as he reflected on Carabao Cup success last season.
Toon chiefs took a risk when they stumped up £35million to sign the former Southampton defender. Livramento - a reported Manchester City target - was viewed as one of Chelsea's finest academy products when he graduated in 2021.
He left to join Southampton to pursue first-team football but soon suffered a serious ACL injury. Just two appearances following his year-long absence is all it took for Newcastle to spend big.
Tino Livramento valued at £70m
Livramento wowed early into his Toon career and he is viewed as the club’s long-term option at right-back. The 22-year-old impressed during the back end of the campaign as the Magpies clinched the Carabao Cup and Champions League qualification.
Yahoo Sports reported last week that Newcastle have slapped a £70million price tag on Livramento’s head amid interest from Man City. But speaking to The Chronicle, the versatile full-back insisted he wants to win more trophies on Tyneside.
‘Long may it continue’ - Tino Livramento
“It 100 per cent doesn't bother me,” Livramento said when asked about his favoured position. “Wherever I play, I will give my all for the team. I knew that they (Newcastle) were a big club when I joined. They were already in the Champions League the summer when I arrived.
"So even that was a massive thing for me. To win anything for this club has been a massive achievement, and long may it continue. You see what it means to them. They come to the games, but across the city, you see that everybody here supports the club, and it was great to bring a cup home for them."

Eddie Howe angered by Man City interest
Eddie Howe was unhappy when grilled about Man City’s reported interest earlier this year. The Newcastle boss made it clear that he does not wish to lose his best players.
"It goes without saying (that he'd want to keep Livramento)," Howe said. “It's frustrating for us that we're consistently talking about players rumoured to be leaving. We want to go the other way and strengthen our group. We want to make the team stronger for the future rather than lose our best players."
