[Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com) coach Xabi Alonso briefly talked to both DAZN and Real Madrid TV after the team’s arrival in the United States.
“We have to speed everything up because we have little time to get to know each other and train. We will start building the team because we have three training sessions before the first game. We are coming in with a lot of enthusiasm and the hope of having a good tournament and making it all the way to the end,” he said.
Alonso met Vinicius Junior, Andriy Lunin and Arda Güler, who joined the group at the hotel. Alonso was asked about his first few days coaching the squad.
“These days have been very positive; little by little you get to know them and have that very necessary contact,” he explained.
Real Madrid will make their FIFA Club World Cup debut when they face Al Hilal next Wednesday —21:30 CEST, 03:30pm EST—.
