In their search for a new goalkeeper, Galatasaray have made a “concrete enquiry” for Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson, according to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
The 2024/25 season saw Galatasaray win their 25th Turkish league title, finishing first with an 11-point lead over their arch-rivals, Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce. It was a strong domestic season for the club, who were spearheaded in attack by the brilliant Victor Osimhen, who spent the campaign on loan there from Napoli.
Galatasaray are already making preparations to defend their title. Long-serving goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, who scored a penalty in his final game of the term, will be moving on from the club after 14 years of service and as such, Gala need a new number one in-between the sticks.
Reports have suggested that the Super Lig champions have recently made an ambitious bid to sign this exceptional option.

Alisson
According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, Galatasaray made “a concrete enquiry” about Alisson’s availability in their search for a new number one. The Brazilian has played for Liverpool since joining from Roma in 2018 and over the years, has established himself as one of the greatest shot-stoppers on the planet.

At 32 years old, Alisson, who has been hailed as "world-class," feasibly has a few years remaining at the highest level of football. Though Galatasaray will be playing in next season’s Champions League, Plettenberg reported that Alisson declined the club’s advances, with his contract at Liverpool set to expire in 2027.
Such ambition is a promising sign for Galatasaray, who will surely make a number of signings in the summer. Regarding their new goalkeeper, however, it appears the Turkish juggernauts will have to look elsewhere.
