Everton are looking to revamp their first-team squad ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The Toffees have agreed to release a host of players following the expiry of their contracts, and more departures could be on the way as negotiations stall with the likes of Idrissa Gueye.
David Moyes and his recruitment team will have to be busy in this summer’s market to replace these outgoing players.

Celtic prepare to swoop in after Everton stall over Ferguson
Evan Ferguson is one player who has been on Everton’s radar for a while.
The 20-year-old striker is out of favour at Brighton, and it’s believed he could provide some much-needed firepower at the head of Everton’s attack next season.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Yet, an official bid still hasn’t been made for his services.
Now, the Sunday People (15 June, page 61) reports that Brighton are willing to let Ferguson leave permanently this summer, with Celtic now the favourites for his signature.
While a bid hasn’t been made by the Scottish champions either, this could turn Ferguson’s head despite the Toffees wanting him.

TFG need to be quicker off the mark with Everton transfers
It’s not yet clear whether Ferguson will turn out to be the real deal in the Premier League.
The Irishman made a huge impact during his first year in the Premier League after coming through the youth system at Brighton.
But, after the Seagulls changed their manager, the young striker lost form. He was shipped out on loan to West Ham this year, but he didn’t rise to his potential there either.

Still, if Moyes believes in Ferguson and wants to sign him, questions have to be asked of the Friedkin Group.
Fans will want to know why they have been slow to pull the trigger on signings this summer and allowing other clubs to steal their targets.
This lack of urgency is arguably also why Everton are still negotiating with out-of-contract players that they want to keep next season.
TFG have been fantastic in all aspects since taking ownership, but their lack of killer instinct in the transfer market may begin to frustrate fans soon.
