Report: The Friedkins aren't messing about as Everton now make contact to sign £11m striker…

Everton have a lot to do this summer transfer window with several first-teamers leaving at the end of their contract.

Jack Grealish has been attracting interest from Everton, and it’s being reported that a transfer is genuinely plausible.

Grealish, who has been left out of Manchester City’s Club World Cup squad, is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium and wants to stay in the North-West of England, leaving the Toffees well-placed to land his signature.

The Toffees are also working on a deal to sign Thierno Barry, with the Friedkin Group ready to meet his £33m release clause.

Thierno Barry enjoyed a prolific season with Villarreal and Everton chiefs are now looking at another forward to potentially join him on Merseyside.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to leave Everton this summer, and Armando Broja has already returned to his parent club Chelsea.

So quite clearly, David Moyes has made a new centre-forward a priority, with Barry seemingly the leading target.

Now, according to The Mirror, Everton have lodged an enquiry for Stade Reims frontman Adama Bojang, who enjoyed a productive loan spell at Grasshopper Club Zurich last year.

Bojang netted six goals whilst laying on two assists in 27 appearances for Swiss outfit, and that has alerted Moyes’ former club West Ham United.

The Hammers are reportedly considering a move for the 21-year-old, who was looked at by Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City in 2023.

Bojang is attainable for around £11m

Stade Reims value Bojang at around £11m, so it’s a very feasible deal for the Toffees to do as they appear to search for a back-up striker.

Reims don’t really have a choice but to sanction a sale for the Gambia international following their relegation to France’s second tier.

Moyes’ side lack real pace in their attacking ranks, but Bojang would certainly address that weakness, with talent scout Ben Mattinson describing his speed as ‘electric’.
