How Andy Robertson feels about Liverpool exit amid interest from Atletico Madrid
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Robertson and are prepared to pay around £20m (€25m) for the player.
The Spanish side have also been looking at Theo Hernandez, but have not been able to agree terms with him and hence have turned their attention to the Liverpool player. It is understood that Robertson is now their priority target.
Simeone’s side have already held discussions with Robertson’s representatives, who have confirmed that the Scotland international is open to a move to Spain.
As per TBR Football, the 31-year-old is more than happy to stay at Liverpool and fight for a spot with Kerkez. However, Robertson feels that the chance of playing in Spain at this point of his career is a ‘fascinating one’.
TBR Football can further reveal that Liverpool will not stand in Robertson’s way. In fact, the club had been anticipating interest in the player, which is why they have no intention of entertaining offers for Kostas Tsimikas, despite interest in the Greek defender from several clubs.

Robertson has made 342 appearances for the club so far, scoring 11 goals and providing 67 assists. He has won every major honour available, including two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, and two League Cups.

He has also secured his place in Premier League history as the defender with the second-most assists (60) in the competition’s history, just four behind former teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold (64).
If he remains at the club, Robertson has a real chance to claim the all-time record for most assists by a defender in the Premier League.
