After Trent Alexander-Arnold sealed a switch to Real Madrid for the ongoing Club World Cup, his agent is back in the spotlight.
This time, the focus is on Liverpool’s long-time left-back, Andy Robertson, who could be on his way to Atletico Madrid. Yes, from full-back to full circle — Liverpool’s flanks might just be flying off this summer.
Robertson still has a year left on his contract. But at 31, and with Liverpool eyeing younger options like Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, the Scotsman could be allowed to move on. Atletico Madrid sees this as their chance to strike.

Atletico wants Andy Robertson for free?
According to Fabrizio Romano (via YouTube), Atletico are hoping to land Robertson without paying a fee. “Andy Robertson will be keen to move to Atletico Madrid, try to move to Spain,” Romano said.
But here’s the catch: “Atletico Madrid hope to get a deal done for free – with the player leaving Liverpool on good terms with a green light from the club or with a small fee.”
Liverpool fans know Robertson has given it all — 342 appearances since his arrival in 2017 and every major trophy in the cabinet. But football rarely hands out loyalty points.
If this deal goes through, the same agent would have pulled off both of Liverpool’s first-choice full-backs heading to La Liga — one in white, one in red and white. That’s not just a transfer — it’s an Iberian invasion.
As for Robertson, his potential Spanish siesta could mark the end of an era at Anfield. But if you’re Atletico, it’s a no-brainer: pick up a proven winner with Champions League experience — possibly for free.
