[Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com) touched down in Florida on Saturday night as preparations begin for their Club World Cup campaign, with Xabi Alonso’s men set to make their tournament debut on Wednesday against Al-Hilal at Hard Rock Stadium.
After a nine-hour transatlantic flight, the team landed at Palm Beach International Airport and immediately headed to their hotel to begin adjusting to the time zone. But it wasn’t all serious business upon arrival—some of the players were greeted with an unexpected slice of American culture. Several members of the squad, including Rodrygo Goes, took to Instagram to share footage from their room balconies, where they found themselves overlooking a wedding taking place at the hotel pool. “A box overlooking a wedding,” Rodrygo joked in a short video posted to his stories.
With the team settled in, training begins in earnest on Sunday at Gardens North County District Park, a modern 33-hectare facility built in 2019 featuring 10 multipurpose fields designed to meet FIFA standards. The venue, located near their hotel in Palm Beach Gardens, offers the ideal setting for Madrid to gear up for their first game.
The team will continue training at the facility on Tuesday for their final session before taking the pitch on Wednesday night against Al-Hilal. They are scheduled to hold one final training session on Friday in Palm Beach before traveling north to Charlotte, where they’ll face Mexican side Pachuca in their second and final Club World Cup fixture.
