The Kansas City Chiefs have figured out the key to success in today's NFL, and now every other team is trying to play catch-up to compete with the AFC juggernaut.
One way that opposing teams have attempted to do that is by acquiring players who helped the Chiefs reach five out of the last six Super Bowls. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the latest franchise to try to replicate Kansas City's success with the players that helped guide the Chiefs along the way.
While he isn't as well-known a name as some of the other greats who have called Kansas City their home during their current dynasty, the newest member of the Steelers defense is already talking a big game about what he will provide the Chiefs' conference rival.
Ex-Chiefs Defender Juan Thornhill Makes Says He'll Do it All for Steelers
Thornhill, a former second-round pick by Kansas City out of the University of Virginia, was a member of the franchise from 2019 to 2022 and helped the Chiefs to a pair of championships. After a short stint with the Cleveland Browns, the veteran safety signed with Pittsburgh this offseason and sounds eager to make a difference on the gridiron.

"I feel like I'm very versatile. I can cover receivers, I can cover tight ends, I can blitz, I can play in the box," Thornhill said. "I can literally do everything that they need me to do. Whatever they ask me to do is what I plan on doing."
Thornhill's best football came during his time with the Chiefs, as over four seasons, he started in 74 of the 87 games he appeared in and recorded 234 total tackles, along with eight interceptions (one of which was returned for a touchdown) and 20 deflected passes.
Now, the former Chiefs starter will look to help one of Kansas City's conference rivals get back to the level of prominence that fans have historically seen. While the two sides are not scheduled to meet during the regular season, if the Steelers can get back on track during the 2025 campaign, then the possibility of a postseason matchup between Thornhill and his former teammates becomes real.
