**As Tino Livramento basks in the plaudits following his performance for England U21s on Thursday evening, the media machine is pushing the narrative that Manchester City are ready to launch a bid for the Newcastle United star.**
Pep Guardiola is said to want Tino Livramento as his replacement for Kyle Walker, much like Eddie Howe brought in the full-back from Southampton for £32 million to be Kieran Trippier's successor.
The Chelsea academy graduate has long been tipped to be a huge star, and this past season has shown just where that hope came from.
For much of the season, Tino Livramento kept Kieran Trippier out of the Newcastle team, but when Lewis Hall succumbed to injury, ending his season in March, Trippier was reinstated to the side with Tino Livramento pushed to left back. It was a move that raised eyebrows at the time, but ultimately proved to be the right one. But now Tino's versatility on both flanks has attracted interest from other clubs.

Craig Hope believes Tino Livramento will stay at Newcastle
----------------------------------------------------------
Manchester City are reportedly gearing up to launch a £40 million bid, which we'd expect would just get laughed out of St James' Park, but it may not put the Cityzens off trying again.
However, Craig Hope believes that it would take something massive to convince Newcastle to part with Livramento, with Eddie Howe determined to keep hold of the 22-year-old.
> "My info on Tino & Man City is that Howe has communicated he absolutely wants to keep him, the player has shown no desire to go & City don’t want to get involved in summer-long saga"
Newcastle don't need to sell this summer
----------------------------------------
Those are three excellent positive points that keep the ball thoroughly in Newcastle's court. Additionally, Newcastle are financially healthy enough that it can resist offers of over £100 million for Alexander Isak, so it can surely resist whatever comes its way for Livramento.
Lifting silverware last season and qualifying for the Champions League are both strong indicators that Newcastle are moving in the right direction and is likely to contribute to keeping our stars happy to stay at the club.
A couple of extra additions this summer could take the Magpies to the next level, and that again should go a long way to keeping our big players around.
