West Ham United have made contact with Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of a potential move, according to FootballTransfers.
The 2024/25 season did not go as many expected it would for West Ham. The Hammers spent heavily in the summer to back new manager Julen Lopetegui, but the Spaniard struggled to generate much consistency with his team. In January, despite such spending just months before, Lopetegui was sacked.
Graham Potter was the man chosen to replace Lopetegui and although the former Chelsea manager has done little of note at the London Stadium thus far, it is worth considering that, to date, he has made just one signing of his own. Evan Ferguson joined the club on loan in January, but has since returned to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Of course, Potter will want signings this summer to reshape his squad and it appears that the West Ham boss is keen on bolstering his attacking options.

FootballTransfers have reported that Calvert-Lewin is viewed as “an ideal replacement” for Michail Antonio, who looks set to depart West Ham this summer upon the expiration of his contract. Dubbed a "sensational" player, Calvert-Lewin is himself on an expiring contract, with FootballTransfers stating that the forward looks likely to move on from Merseyside.

An Evertonian since 2016, Calvert-Lewin has shown his brilliance when fit, but has struggled for consistent health in recent years. SalarySport have reported that the Englishman is on a weekly wage of £120,000 and given his injury troubles, it appears Everton are ready to move on from that wage, although West Ham are reportedly willing to offer Calvert-Lewin more.
West Ham would offer Calvert-Lewin first-team football, especially given that Niklas Fullkrug struggled with his own fitness in the last campaign. With Danny Ings having already left the club as a free agent, Calvert-Lewin would allow the Hammers to reinforce a position that needs it as they look to improve on such a lacklustre season.
