Pacers to miss their injured forward for the rest of the NBA Finals

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle has announced that forward Jarace Walker is unlikely to appear in the NBA Finals due to an injury.

The Indiana Pacers will most likely be without their second-year forward for the remainder of the NBA Finals.

During Sunday’s NBA Finals media availability, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle revealed that forward Jarace Walker is unlikely to play in the Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"He is doing better. He is off crutches and he is walking with a slight limp now. So it's very unlikely that he'll be able to play in this series. But he is doing better. It would be great if he was available because I do think he would help us," Carlisle said via Tony East.

Walker sustained an ankle injury in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks and was seen on crutches following the victory. He is expected to miss at least the first two games of the series.

Walker, a rotational player for Indiana, has averaged about 10 minutes per game during the playoffs, contributing 3 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest.

The Finals series is currently tied 2–2, with Game 5 set to take place Monday night in Oklahoma City.
