Barca worried about ‘Club de Amigos’ repeat if Nico Williams arrives?

Nico Williams appears to be back on Barcelona’s radar for the second summer in a row after his agent met with Deco to talk about the future.

The move has got many fans excited, while Lamine Yamal also seems pretty thrilled about the prospect of his good friend heading to Catalunya.

Williams has a good relationship with Yamal as well as Barca’s other Spain stars, including Pedri, Fermin Lopez, Pau Cubarsi, Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo.

The concern seems to be that a dressing room with such close friendships can be great when everything is going well but can also fall apart quickly when results take a turn for the worse.

Quite what Hansi Flick makes of all that remains to be seen. The German coach is known for his strictness -just ask Inaki Pena and Jules Kounde - but has still created a great atmosphere at the club since taking over.

It’s been reported that the Barcelona boss has already spoken to Nico about a potential transfer, suggesting Flick is more than happy to have the Spain star in his ranks next season.
