Manchester United players are often known for starring in tournaments, both in a competitive sense and a non-competitive sense.
Whether it’s Ronaldo in the Champions League, Amad in the Europa League or Rooney in the Premier League, United players both past and present are well-known for their ability to deliver when it matters in major tournaments.
As well as in major tournaments, many former Red Devils also excel in a non-competitive sense such as in Legends matches and charity tournaments such as Soccer Aid.
However, the player we are talking about today has only recently come to the attention of the mainstream media and of many Manchester United fans.
Starring in United’s post-season trip in Malaysia, Chido Obi Martin was able to score twice in the Red’s second game against Hong Kong.

Now, Obi has picked up the player of the tournament award at the Maurice Revello tournament following goals against Japan and Congo, and an assist against Mexico.
The Manchester United youth academy graduate will now look to break into the United first team during the 2025-26 season and follow in the steps of other youth academy graduates such as Alejandro Garnacho and Amad.
Martin initially came through the Arsenal youth system before joining the United youth setup last year where he was named as one of the best players born in 2007 by the Guardian.
Following this, he was able to excel in the under 18s setup before featuring in the starting 11 for United against Brentford on the 4th May which meant that he became the youngest player to play for Manchester United ever at just 17 years, 156 days.
What is for sure is that the 17 year old holds an immense amount of talent and will be a name that will be mentioned for years to come whether that be in relation with Manchester United or another club.
