Chelsea embark on their Club World Cup campaign tonight, meeting LAFC at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The Blues are fresh off the back of clinching the Conference League in Wroclaw, and could add a second title for the season in the United States this summer.
They have won the Club World Cup once before, pipping Palmeiras 2-1 in the 2022 final, and will hope to repeat those heroics here.
Fans may get a first look at new signings in striker Liam Delap, midfielder Dário Essugo, and defender Mamadou Sarr.
But in facing LAFC, who beat Club America 2-1 in a play-in to qualify for the tournament, they will be reunited with former striker Olivier Giroud, who hit 39 Chelsea goals in 119 appearances between 2018 and 2021.
Former Tottenham shot-stopper Hugo Lloris will also feature for the American contingent, who currently sit fifth in the MLS Western Conference.
