Aston Villa are in the market for a right-sided defender this summer transfer window.
Monchi will be looking to recruit at centre-back and right-back after Axel Disasi’s loan spell ended at the end of last season.
Returning to Chelsea, it is thought Disasi is unlikely to be targeted by Villa for a permanent deal.
The likes of Enzo Boyomo and Christian Mosquera feature on a long list of options Villa are interested in.
Loic Bade, however, is not thought to be a player Villa are pursuing at this stage, despite reports in Spain claiming the Frenchman may be targeted again.
Villa pushed to sign Bade back in January following the sale of Diego Carlos, but Bade himself rejected a move.

Carlos, who now plays for Fenerbahçe, came close to leaving Villa in the summer window, with Fulham particularly interested.
A move never materialised, which meant Villa could not raise the necessary funds to strike a deal with Feyenoord for Lutsharel Geertruida.
The Dutch defender was a prime target for Villa in the final weeks of the summer window, but it was RB Leipzig who eventually won the race to sign him in a deal worth around £21m.

But Geertruida struggled for form in his first season in the Bundesliga. He made 24 league appearances but only started seven of Leipzig’s last 19 matches of the campaign.
Last month, Sky Germany reported that Geertruida could even leave Leipzig this summer as both the “club and player are dissatisfied and open to a change.”
