After the briefest of bizarre interludes, the transfer window has reopened and will remain in operation until September 1. Not that Liverpool wasn't busy during the short time business was able to be completed earlier this month as Arne Slot's squad starts to take shape for the new campaign.
The recruitment team, led by Reds sporting director Richard Hughes, have been working hard since a record-equalling 20th championship was secured. And activity is poised to be ramped up even further with a number of incomings and outgoings anticipated.
The first matter will be to officially confirm the arrival of attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. The Reds have reached a total $158 million (£116.5 million) agreement with the Bundesliga side, with Wirtz due for a medical after completing his end-of-season holiday.
Attention will then turn to negotiating a deal for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez. The Cherries value the Hungary international at $61 million (£45 million) but Hughes, who moved from the South Coast to Anfield last year, is hopeful of driving down the price.
Two completed deals have seen Liverpool trigger the $39 million (£29 million) release clause for Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong while goalkeeper Armin Pecsi has arrived from Puskas Akademia for $2 million (£1.5m). Georgia international keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, signed from Valencia for $41 million (£30 million) last year, will join the squad at the start of pre-season.
Anfield has already seen some departures, with Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract being taken over by Real Madrid for the final month and Caoimhin Kelleher moving to Brentford for $24 million (£18 million).
Goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros from Czechia is set to ink a new long-term contract with Liverpool before heading off to Ajax on a season-long loan. More exits are anticipated, with Andy Robertson considering an offer from Atletico Madrid. His fellow left-back, Kostas Tsimikas, is being eyed by several clubs, including newly-promoted Leeds United.

Center-back Jarell Quansah has caught the attention of Leverkusen, while Joe Gomez was previously linked with Newcastle United. Ibrahima Konate, who is nearing the end of his contract, is reportedly on the watchlist of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
However, Liverpool is negotiating a deal with Konate and plans to include Quansah in next season's squad. No player will be allowed to leave unless a new center-back is signed, as Liverpool continues its search for a young defender after unsuccessful attempts to sign Leny Yoro and Dean Huijsen in the past year.
The potential arrival of Wirtz could signal a departure for Harvey Elliott, who has previously confessed that he may face a tough decision about his future this summer. Meanwhile, Tyler Morton is likely to exit if interest from several clubs, mainly in the Championship, becomes official.
In the forward line, Federico Chiesa is considering a return to Italy with Napoli showing interest, while Serie A champions AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also keeping tabs on Darwin Nunez, a long-term target for the Saudi Pro League. The likelihood of both players leaving is increasing.

Luis Diaz is sought after in the Middle East and by Barcelona, but he would be content to remain at Liverpool with two years left on his contract.
However, any significant departures in attack would hinge on the club targeting replacements, especially for the number nine position. Liverpool is a big admirer of Newcastle United's Alexander Isak and is keeping an eye on Hugo Ekitike's situation at Eintracht Frankfurt, although both players have been initially valued at over $115 million (£85 million).
Ben Doak was the subject of a failed bid from Crystal Palace in January and Everton is also interested. Sunderland is looking for another loan deal for Jayden Danns, and earlier this year Sheffield United were linked with Lewis Koumas and Owen Beck, while Nat Phillips is likely to go.
