Barca set price limit in chase for Liverpool forward Luis Diaz

Barcelona have reportedly set a price limit when it comes to trying to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool this summer.

The forward remains Barcelona’s top priority but they aren’t going to be able to get anywhere near Liverpool’s asking price of €80 million.

Instead, Barcelona are willing to go up to a maximum of €60m to try and sign Diaz this summer, according to Diario Sport.

The Catalans think that is a “fair price” for a player who has already turned 28 and has a contract at Anfield that expires in 2027.

It remains to be seen what Liverpool think of that, although there’s a suspicion the Premier League champions will want to offload players this summer if they sign Florian Wirtz for €150m.

Yet Barcelona may also have to make a major sale this summer if they do want to bring in Diaz, although it’s not quite clear yet which players could be offloaded.
