The transfer window is open again after a five-day pause due to it starting early this summer because of the Club World Cup. Teams can now do their business right through to deadline day on 1 September.
Chelsea have already made moves in the market this month, most notably signing Liam Delap for £30million from Ipswich Town. Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr have also arrived in time to be a part of their squad in the United States.
Moves for Jamie Gittens and Mike Maignan did not materialise before the tournament began. However, those are two deals the club could return to over the coming weeks. Hugo Ekitike is another player in whom the Blues are interested.
