Elliot Anderson was one of the brightest performers for Nottingham Forest during the 2024/25 campaign.
It came as a surprise when Forest landed the Newcastle academy graduate for £35 million, with goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos going in the opposite direction for £20 million.
However, Anderson soon showcased what he was all about and became a mainstay in the number eight role under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Gary Neville raved about Anderson after a 3-1 win over Leicester back in October and he enjoyed a maiden campaign playing regular football in the Premier League.

The Three Lions took their points tally to four in the group stages of the European Under-21 Championships with a spirited draw against Slovenia.
England had defeated the Czech Republic in their opening group game, with Anderson earning praise for his performance in that game.
Here, it proved a difficult test for England with Lee Carsley’s team unable to break down a dogged opposition, although Anderson did get some kind words for his performance.
Goal scored him 7/10 and claimed: “Grew into the game and had England ticking towards half-time.”

Give Me Sport scored him a 6/10 and said: “Not able to dictate play in the manner in which he would have liked and was brought off.”
Conor Coady hails Elliot Anderson
It was Coady who scored the opening goal of the game back in May when Leicester held Forest to a 2-2 draw at the City Ground and he was on co-commentary duty for this one.
He has been impressed with Anderson this season and raved about him on the Channel Four coverage.
Coady said: “I was hoping we would talk about Elliot Anderson, Steve. He’s been in brilliant form for Nottingham Forest this season. He’s a really good player and a great talent for the future.”
Anderson will now hope to keep pushing on with Forest and the England setup, with next season likely to be even bigger for the young midfielder.
