Ruben Amorim is urging Manchester United to turn their attention toward Crystal Palace’s standout star Eberechi Eze.
Eze on United Radar as Mbeumo Chase Slips Away
Manchester United’s hopes of landing Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo are fading fast. Now, Tottenham are charging ahead in the race under their new boss Thomas Frank.
The Bees striker has become a hot target after scoring 20 goals and assisting nine more last season. But, Spurs might outbid Utd with a offer worth £70m. Although, the Red Devils made two offers, their highest was hitting £60m. But, Spurs’ stronger ties and financial muscle seem to be winning the battle.
Manager Ruben Amorim now seeks to sign other creative attackers. He wants players that can fit into his style which is a 3-4-2-1 system. Amorim is now looking at Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, as per ESPN. He is an exciting player with great foot skills on the ball. He can play in all positions that are either in the centre or wide areas.
🚨 Manchester United will turn their attentions to signing Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo or Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze if they fail to land Brentford's Bryan Mbuemo.

Eze and Semenyo Fit Amorim’s System
Eze had a stellar 2024/25 season, chalking up 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. These are the best stats of his Premier League career so far. He has a £68m release clause in his contract. And Palace will not let him go cheaply. But, Amorim believes he’s the right fit for the No.10 role that demands both creativity and wide movement.
Another name being discussed at Old Trafford is Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. The Cherries forward had a great year where he scored 13 goals and assisted seven. His ability to play on either wings and comfort playing inside can give Amorim the tactical flexibility he wants.
Semenyo is reportedly available for around £70m. That is keeping him in the same price range as Eze and Mbeumo. Tottenham are now in pole position for Mbeumo. So, Man Utd could soon be forced to act quickly to avoid missing out on their backup options too.
