Leyton Orient will host Spurs U21 this pre-season, as we continue to honor the legacy of Justin Edinburgh, as the two sides will compete for the JE3 Trophy.
The fixture will take place at BetWright Stadium on Tuesday, 22 July, and is set to kick off at 7.45pm.
Charlie Edinburgh, son of Justin and CEO of the JE3 Foundation, is delighted to see the sides meet once more, stating: "This is another opportunity for two clubs that meant so much to Dad to come together and help continue his legacy. It is always a fantastic occasion and one that fills us as a family and foundation with such a huge sense of pride. We want to place on record our thanks to both football clubs and the fan bases for continuing to get behind the foundation and the vital work we implement in my dad’s memory.”
Orient Director of Football Martin Ling added: "These fixtures mean so much to us as a club, and we're delighted to once again be hosting a Spurs side here in E10. The journey we have been on was started by Justin, and there's not a day that goes by when he's not in our thoughts. The relationship between the two clubs is great, and I'm sure thart Justin will be looking down with great pride once more."
Ticketing information for the fixture will be announced in due course.
The JE3 Foundation, set up by Justin’s family following his tragic passing in 2019, aim to empower people and organisations to act quickly and knowledgeably when witness to cardiac arrest, by increasing access to life-saving defibrillators, and delivering CPR training.
