‘Absolutely unbelievable’ – What Man Utd can expect from new signing Cunha

Another busy summer is expected in the transfer market as Premier League clubs splash the cash to improve their squads ahead of the new campaign.
The transfer window is officially open once again and a flurry of activity is expected between now and transfer deadline day on September 1.
TNT Sports looks at one area every team in the Premier League could, and perhaps should, look to address before the window slams shut.
Arsenal – Forward
-----------------
It has long been mooted that The Gunners require a centre-forward if they are to make the step up from nearly men to winning football’s biggest prizes.
But while a goalscorer is essential, does it need to come from beyond the ‘No. 9’ position?
While a [Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres](https://www.tntsports.co.uk/football/transfers/2024-2025/arsenal-pursue-bids-viktor-gyokeres-benjamin-sesko_sto23192780/story.shtml) would be welcome, the fact that Kai Havertz was The Gunners' top scorer with just nine goals in the league in 2024/25 highlights the need to spread the goals around the team, and another wide forward could be just as important an arrival.

Aston Villa – Goalkeeper
------------------------
The disappointment of missing out in the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and a top-five finish in the Premier League should not require too much soul-searching for a Villa team that has continued to impress in recent years.
Perhaps small tweaks are needed, but with rumours of Emi Martinez possibly heading out the exit door, a new goalkeeper of similar standing will be the absolute priority for Unai Emery’s side.

**Bournemouth – Centre-back**
-----------------------------
With clubs sniffing around the likes of Milos Kerkez and Antoine Semenyo, The Cherries might be busy looking to reinforce in those areas.
One player who has departed the Vitality already is Dean Huijsen, so a replacement at centre-back will certainly be needed if they are to match or improve on their club record of the least goals conceded (46) in a single Premier League campaign last term.

Brentford – Attacker
--------------------
Whether to Manchester United, Tottenham or elsewhere, The Bees are potentially preparing to say goodbye to Bryan Mbuemo.
The forward contributed 20 Premier League goals and seven assists from the right wing last season, had the third-highest number of goal involvements in the league, over-performed his expected goals (xG) by more than any other player, as well as having the highest expected assists (xA) with 9.28.
If he does indeed leave, this output will need to be replaced.

Brighton – Striker
------------------
Kaoru Mitoma, Joao Pedro and Danny Welbeck all hit 10 goals in the league last season, but with rumours of interest in the former two, and Welbeck no spring chicken, a proven goalscorer (or two) will be required at the Amex.
At 33, Welbeck remains a reliable asset for the club, but the fact that 2024/25 was the first season he hit double-figures in terms of league goals in his entire senior career suggests it might not be something Fabian Hurzeler should put too much faith in continuing going forwards.
The Seagulls have already been busy in this department, with the arrival of two young Greek forwards - Stefanos Tzimas and Charalampos Kostoulas - for a combined reported fee of over £50 million.
But both are still teenagers and may not be ready to lead the line for a Premier League team week-in, week-out.
Burnley – Striker
-----------------
The Clarets’ return to the top-flight was largely based on a sturdy defence in the Championship, but that will be tested in the Premier League, and if Scott Parker’s team are to avoid a quick-fire EFL return, goals will be required.
Captain Josh Brownhill scored an impressive 18 in their promotion campaign, largely from midfield, so a recognised centre-forward alongside Zian Flemming - whose loan deal from Millwall has been made permanent - is essential.
**Chelsea – Goalkeeper**
------------------------
An established and reliable No. 1 would be welcomed at Stamford Bridge, given the misgivings around Robert Sanchez and his understudies.
Of all the top-flight keepers last season, nobody made more errors leading to goals than the Spaniard.
The club has seen a move for Milan's Mike Maignan fall through (for now) but one expects the club to revisit a hunt for a new stopper before the window shuts for good in August.

Crystal Palace – Midfielder
---------------------------
The FA Cup winners are looking forward to a first season playing in an elite European competition, and will need to bolster their squad now that Thursday night football has been added to the calendars around Selhurst Park.
A creative midfield option was probably the top priority before their famous Wembley victory.
Eberechi Eze's haul of eight league goals and eight league assists was not too shabby, but none of Daichi Kamada, Jefferson Lerma, Will Hughes or Adam Wharton found the back of the net, and Hughes' three assists were the next best from that position.

Everton – Striker
-----------------
David Moyes' return to the club initially brought about a huge upturn in form as The Toffees clawed their way out of relegation trouble and, after years battling the drop, the club will want to start looking upwards.
Everton’s 42 goals last season were the fewest of all the teams in the league bar the bottom three, so a clinical forward has to be high on their list, especially with the expected departure of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Fulham – Attacker
-----------------
Fulham achieved a respectable mid-table finish last season and will hope to build on that next time around.
For that to happen, Marco Silva will want his side to improve on the 54 goals they managed in the league, and should be targeting more firepower in that area of the pitch, either up front or in wide areas.
