It's been a long few days, but Premier League clubs - including Liverpool - can once again recruit new talent.
The transfer window has reopened and will stay open until September 1. This summer's transfer period for English clubs has been unlike any other, due to the expanded Club World Cup. An additional window was introduced to allow participating clubs to bolster their squads ahead of the competition in the United States.
Although Chelsea and Manchester City are the only Premier League teams in the tournament, all 20 top-flight teams have been given the green light to conduct some of their business early. Liverpool is expected to be busy this summer, with Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez edging closer to joining the Reds. Wirtz is expected to complete his medical shortly.
Due to a limit on the duration of the transfer window, it couldn't run continuously from the beginning of June until the beginning of September.
A special extra transfer window opened on June 1 and lasted for 10 days, primarily to enable clubs to register players in time for the Club World Cup.
Among those making such a move was Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Real Madrid shelling out millions to secure the England star before his Liverpool contract ran out at the end of the month.

Jeremie Frimpong has already arrived from Bayer Leverkusen to replace Alexander-Arnold on Merseyside.
All 20 Premier League clubs, as well as clubs from other federations with teams competing in the Club World Cup, were allowed to sign new players ahead of the tournament.
Now, with the window fully open, we can expect the summer transfer activity to kick into high gear.
Alexander-Arnold wasn't the only fresh face to join a Club World Cup team.
Dean Huijsen also linked up with Real Madrid's tournament squad following his transfer from Bournemouth, while Chelsea added Dario Essugo, Mike Penders, Liam Delap, and Mamadou Sarr to its roster - although Estevao Willian was absent, as he'll be heading to London after representing Palmeiras in the States.
Manchester City was also active, bringing in Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders, and Marcus Bettinelli just in time for the tournament. Other Premier League clubs have also made significant signings, including Matheus Cunha's move to Manchester United.
Several players have already secured deals for when their contracts run out at the end of June, while others will be free to move without a fee come July.
Among the high-profile free agents are Premier League champion Jamie Vardy and Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Kieran Tierney and Kevin De Bruyne are among the players whose contracts are expiring who have already found new homes. Tierney is set to return to Celtic from Arsenal, while De Bruyne is off to Napoli after a decade-long stint with Manchester City.
