**North Shields musician Sam Fender has just completed a three-night sell-out at St James' Park, where over 150,000 people attended the epic gigs.**
Sunday night was the last of the three gigs at the home of Newcastle United and Fender maybe feeling slightly jealous that the biggest cheer over the three nights was arguably not for him.
Another local legend joined Fender on stage last night as Dan Burn was in attendance and took place up on the stage alongside the Geordie singer.
However, Burn wasn't alone as he'd brought his friend, the Carabao Cup, along, and he and Fender hoisted the cup aloft together, receiving a raucous cheer from the crowd inside the packed stadium.

He's from Blyth!

Newcastle fans, and by association, Sam Fender himself, have been widely mocked by those from outside the club's circle, as Newcastle fans will often wear their black and white shirts to Fender's gigs.
Mackems seem to take the biggest exception to this practice, obviously, with those of the Sunderland persuasion desperate to keep a low profile if they're attending his gigs. In fact, they're so rattled, they're spreading the rumour that Sam Fender didn't even like football as a kid and only decided to hitch his wagon to Newcastle to sell more albums - work that one out if you can.
We bet they felt especially uncomfortable when Fender started off Dan Burn's "He's from Blyth" chant.
Dan Burn gave a touching shout out before leaving the stage

Dan Burn took to the mic to send out a message as he held the trophy aloft one more time before making his exit from the stage.
> “This is for my mam, dad, all my pals and all the ones who didn’t make the night.”
On a completely different note - I want Dan Burn's shirt. I wonder if they do them in fat lad sizes and whether it costs more than my house.
