Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez have shown their support for their ex-Liverpool teammate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, after his latest social media post. Alexander-Arnold left the Reds earlier this month to complete his controversial move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Liverpool agreed a deal worth up to £10million for Alexander-Arnold to move to the Santiago Bernabeu a month before his contract at Anfield was set to expire. That deal was completed in order for the ex-Reds vice-captain to be able to feature for Real Madrid at this summer's FIFA Club World Cup.

Real Madrid have already made their trip to the United States to compete in the revamped Club World Cup with Alexander-Arnold part of the travelling squad. The 26-year-old will be hoping to play a role in Real Madrid's group games against Al-Hilal, Pachuca and RB Salzburg.

Alexander-Arnold took to Instagram to post several photos to his 14.5million followers from a Real Madrid training session. The caption for the post read: "1st day in Miami," followed by a green tick emoji.

The post received more than one million likes, with Diaz and Nunez among those who 'liked' the post.

The Liverpool duo were joined by fellow Reds teammates - Ibrahima Konate, Dominik Szoboszlai, Andy Robertson, Ryan Gravenberch, Tyler Morton, Lewis Koumas and Rhys Williams in 'liking' the post.

Both Nunez and Diaz have been heavily linked with moves away from Anfield this summer. Atletico Madrid, Napoli and AC Milan have all registered an interest in Nunez this summer, who has also been credited as a potential target for clubs in the Saudi Pro League, too.

Diaz has been linked with Catalan giants Barcelona this summer with Saudi Arabia also mentioned as a potential destination for him. Liverpool rejected an approach from Barca for their Colombia international earlier this month and they have no desire to let Diaz leave Anfield.
