The transfer window is officially open for the summer, with the period for business back open after the mini-window earlier this month.
Some huge deals are expected to be finalised in the coming weeks, including Florian Wirtz’s move to Liverpool for a fee that could reach a British transfer record £116m. There’s been plenty of movement already and we’ve ranked the most expensive transfers of the summer so far.

10. Charalampos Kostoulas – Olympiacos to Brighton (£29.8m rising to £31.5m with add-ons)
Brighton love a wonderkid and have snapped up one of Greek football’s most exciting. The 18-year-old moves to the Premier League after helping Olympiacos to a league and cup double in 2024/25. He scored seven times in all competitions during a breakout campaign.

9. Mathys Tel – Bayern Munich to Tottenham Hotspur (£30m)
Tottenham Hotspur have turned Mathys Tel’s loan move from Bayern Munich into a permanent deal. Thomas Frank is understood to have given the green light to the deal, following his appointment as Ange Postecoglou’s successor. He’ll hope to get a better tune out of the promising Frenchman than his predecessor.
8. Liam Delap – Ipswich Town to Chelsea (£30m)
Chelsea saw off competition from multiple Premier League rivals to sign Liam Delap from relegated Ipswich Town. A £30m release clause appears good value for the forward, who scored 12 league goals in a struggling side last season. Enzo Maresca has backed Delap to become England’s number nine.

7. Rayan Cherki – Lyon to Manchester City (£30.5m plus add-ons)
Manchester City have snapped up a gem of a footballer for a fee that looks underpriced in an inflated market. The leading assist provider in Ligue 1 and the Europa League last season, Cherki combines creativity with entertainment.
6. Rayan Ait-Nouri – Wolves to Man City (£31m rising to £36.3m with add-ons)
Another incoming in the Etihad rebuild. Pep Guardiola appears to have abandoned his desire to shoehorn players in at left-back with a move for the Algeria international.
5. Jean-Clair Todibo – Nice to West Ham United (£35.4m)
West Ham were obligated to turn Jean-Clair Todibo’s loan move into a permanent transfer for a fee of £35.4m. Todibo will need to improve from an underwhelming first season in England to justify that fee.
4. Franco Mastantuono – River Plate to Real Madrid (£38.5m)
The ‘New Messi’ is a tag that will weigh heavy on any shoulders but there’s no doubt Franco Mastantuono is a super talent. At just 17, the midfielder is leading River Plate’s season and has shown his qualities with some spectacular set-pieces. Real Madrid stole the signing of the Argentine from under PSG’s noses.

3. Tijjani Reijnders – AC Milan to Manchester City (£46.6m rising to £59.2m with add-ons)
Manchester City have added Tijjani Reijnders to their midfield options after capitalising on what is increasingly looking like a fire-sale at AC Milan. Despite Milan’s struggles, Reijnders was named Serie A’s Best Midfielder in 2024/25 after scoring 15 goals in all competitions last season.

2) Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth to Real Madrid) – £50m
Bournemouth have a real eye for talent right now and helped turn Dean Huijsen into a £50m footballer. Had it not been for a release clause, that fee might have been even higher for a player who settled superbly in the Premier League last season. The Spaniard’s brilliant campaign with Bournemouth led to his dream transfer.
1. Matheus Cunha – Wolves to Manchester United (£62.5m)
Manchester United are bidding to bounce back from the club’s worst-ever Premier League campaign. Signing one of the league’s most productive forwards should help a goal-shy side, with Cunha completing a £62.5m move to Old Trafford. The Brazilian scored 15 times for Wolves in the league last season and added six assists.
