Chelsea are amongst the clubs showing interest in Nigerian star. The player ended the 2024/25 season with 45 goal contributions. He was on the radar of the Blues last summer too.

Chelsea have signed Liam Delap as their new striker. The 22 year old has costed them only £30 million due to Ipswich Town getting relegated. This has given the Blues hopes of landing another striker. In addition, they are not full impressed with other strikers.

Nicolas Jackson has been highly inconsistent. This has costed the Blues on multiple occasions. In addition, Marc Guiu is still very young and is likely to be sent on loan for improvement. Hence, the West London club are actively looking for another striker.

The Blues are showing interest in Hugo Ekitike. He is 22 years old who scored 22 goals along with 12 assists for Frankfurt in 2024/25 season. But, the German club are demanding €100 million for Ekitike. The Blues are not willing to spend that amount and hence are eyeing other strikers.

The star in question here is Victor Osimhen. He is 26 year old Nigerian striker who plays for Napoli. The Serie A champions were open to sell him last summer. Chelsea were desperate to sign him and tried until deadline day. But, they were unable to succeed.

Osimhen joined Galatasary on loan and had another superb season. He ended with 37 goals and 7 assists in 41 games for Turkish giants. But, he is not willing to stay at Galatasaray and wants to play in bigger club next season. He even rejected €30 million salary from Saudi giants.

According to Valentine Furlan, Osimhen is wanted by 8 clubs this summer. The list includes – AC Milan, PSG, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Galatasary, Arsenal, Juventus and Manchester United. Lastly, the report says that Osimhen is in no rush to make a decision about his future.
