Tottenham star Manor Solomon is said to be "stranded in Israel" amid his nation's conflict with Iran after travelling back to his homeland to get married.

The 25-year-old Israel international was born in the country and played for Maccabi Petah Tikva before moving to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2019 and later signing for Spurs in 2023.

Solomon spent last season on loan at Leeds United and had been taking some time off following the end of their promotion-winning campaign.

The forward is hoping to return to Tottenham's squad and compete for his place in the first team, with reports new boss Thomas Frank is willing to give him a fresh start.

He had enjoyed a trip back to Israel for his wedding to long-term partner Dana Voshina, who he has been with since 2018, with the ceremony taking place on Thursday.

Solomon had shared a number of joyous photos from the wedding with friends and family in attendance.

But according to the Sun, Solomon and Voshina have been unable to leave Israel amid the country's worrying conflict with Iran.

Both nations have exchanged missile attacks, with at least 224 people killed in Iran since Friday and 19 deaths in Israel. The UK's Foreign Office advised against all travel to Israel this week and placed the country on its red list due to the ongoing missile strikes.

Military chiefs have shut down the airspace until at least June 30, leaving a number of British nationals stuck in the country alongside Solomon.

A statement from No 10 said: “We are monitoring the situation closely and keeping all contingency plans under constant review.

"The safety and security of British nationals is our top priority. We now advise against all travel to Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories."

Solomon was a star player for Leeds last season, scoring 10 goals and assisting 12 to help Daniel Farke's men secure automatic promotion.
