Real Madrid have dropped a huge hint over their stance on selling Rodrygo this summer amid transfer interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are one of the clubs said to be keen on the Brazilian after his future at Spain was placed into doubt.
Rodrygo has been linked with a move to the Premier League and the Emirates Stadium has mooted as a possible destination. Mikel Arteta remains keen to strengthen his attacking options for the 2025/26 season.
A new centre-forward is the priority for Arsenal with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres both on their radar. However, there is scope for a new wide attacker to arrive to battle with Gabriel Martinelli.
Rodrygo, whose contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires in June 2028, scored six goals and provided six assists for Madrid last season. Under Carlo Ancelotti, the Brazilian played second fiddle to Vinicius Jnr and Kylian Mbappe, but Xabi Alonso could revive his career in Spain.
The Gunners are understood to be keeping tabs on the situation and a new contract to one of Los Blancos' players could place further doubt into Rodrygo's future. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Madrid are now in advanced talks with attacker Brahim Diaz over a new contract.

Diaz, who had previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, is expected to sign a new five-year deal with an agreement almost reached. It secures the future of an option in Rodrygo's position meaning Madrid could look to cash-in this summer.
Spanish outlet Fichajes have recently reported that Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal have both placed bids in the region of €130million (£110m) to lure Rodrygo to the country. Previously, it was suggested that just £67.5m would be enough to sign him.
UOL have reported that Alonso has informed Madrid's hierarchy of his plan to use Rodrygo this season.
