Report: Wolves make first offer to sign powerful 13-goal forward, as his club set £25m asking…

Wolves are now looking to add players to their squad, with a number of departures having already taken place at Molineux.

Vitor Pereira has lost two key players in the form of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri.

And Pablo Sarabia is also departing as a free agent, as is Craig Dawson, with Carlos Forbs heading back to Ajax after his loan spell.

But there is good news for Wolves with the Fer Lopez transfer inching closer – apparently, the Spaniard could complete his move from Celta Vigo this week.

But Wolves seemingly have their fingers in multiple pies right now, as it has now been claimed that an offer has gone in for another attacker.

Earlier this month, it was suggested Wolves were contemplating making a bid for Evann Guessand of Nice.

The Ivory Coast international scored 13 goals across all competitions, and also supplied 10 assists.

Wolves will be needing someone in the Matheus Cunha mould going forward, and Guessand may well be that player with his pace, power, ball-carrying and ability to score goals.

Now according to Africa Foot, Wolves have tabled an offer for Guessand.

It is not stated how much money is on the table from Wolves. But Africa Foot do claim Nice would be looking to sell for around £25 million.

Turkish journalist Ersan Serdal also claimed that Wolves have made an offer for Guessand.

Guessand would be an exciting addition for Wolves after Lopez

Hopefully there is some truth in these claims that Wolves have made an offer for Guessand.

Because he looks an exciting player with traits that could make him perfect to play in the Cunha left 10 position.

Breaking The Lines make it clear that he is not an out-and-out striker, as his height may suggest, nor is he a typical wide forward. He’s somewhere in between, which is kind of what Cunha is. BTL state that he is an ‘inside forward’.

Guessand is a player who ‘constantly looks to make runs in behind, using his pace to slip into defenders’ blind spots and exploit the spaces they leave behind’. Guessand also ‘has the natural ability to beat his markers with speed, technique, and power when needed’.

Furthermore, he also has a ‘diverse finishing arsenal and the confidence to execute different types of shots’.

Guessand and Lopez would potentially really help Jorgen Strand Larsen at Wolves, so hopefully we’ll see the club tie up deals for both in the coming days or weeks.
