Manchester United have fuelled speculation surrounding transfer exits by omitting two players from the list of names that fans can print on the club's new home shirt. The Red Devils released their 2025/26 home kit last week, and the squad list on offer for those who want a name and number on the back makes for interesting reading.
Recent loanees Tyrell Malacia, Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho are all expected to leave Old Trafford on a permanent basis this summer. Despite grave uncertainty about his future at his boyhood club, supporters can purchase a 'Rashford 10' shirt as one of 20 outfield options. However, United are not offering Malacia, Antony and Sancho variants, which could be a strong hint that their careers lie elsewhere.
Rashford's inclusion will mean very little regarding the possibility of a United stay, and it would be a surprise if he played for the club again.
For example, Alejandro Garnacho's No. 17 shirt is also an option ahead of his inevitable move away from Old Trafford in the coming months.
Rashford is likely a player who still sells a considerable number of shirts despite his exile since Ruben Amorim's arrival and subsequent loan move to Aston Villa.
The England international and Garnacho's inclusions make Malacia, Sancho and Antony's absence more noticeable as the summer transfer window reopens.
Malacia made 12 appearances for PSV Eindhoven after joining on loan in January and ended the campaign by lifting the Dutch Eredivisie title.
Sancho played 41 times for Chelsea, registering five goals and 10 assists, but failed to impress and rather than paying a £25million buy obligation, the Blues paid a £5m fine to send him back this summer.
The £73m flop no longer has a squad number at United after the club gave his No. 25 shirt to Manuel Ugarte last year.
Antony's loan stint was a roaring success, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 26 games for Real Betis - just three fewer contributions than he has managed in 96 United outings.
Betis reportedly want the Brazilian winger to continue in Seville next season but could struggle to meet the Red Devils' asking price.
While he is absent on the United website's squad list, Adidas do offer Antony shirts for the 25/26 season.
However, fans can also still purchase Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans shirts, despite all three leaving at the end of their contracts on July 1.
Chido Obi is primed to stay in Amorim's first team next season, and fans can purchase his name alongside the number 56.
Fellow starlets Harry Amass and Toby Collyer are not on offer, though.
