Leeds United are closing in on an agreement to sign Jaka Bijol from Udinese.
The Whites have got themselves up and running in the transfer window following their agreement to bring in 26-year-old striker Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer.
Up next for Leeds is expected to be ramped up negotiations to land top centre-back target Jake Bijol, currently of Udinese in the Serie A.

“Agreement close” between Leeds United and Udinese over Jaka Bijol
Talks between Leeds and the Italian side have been progressing throughout June following a rejected bid earlier in the month, but it appears as though Leeds are ready to snuff out any hint of a reported Newcastle United hijack.

That’s according to journalist Orazio Accomando, who claims that an agreement is close between the two parties, and Bijol’s representatives are set to fly into the UK in order to secure a transfer this week.
A full agreement could be struck within the next 24 hours following reports that the centre-back has a four-year deal on the table at Elland Road.
Udinese’s chief sticking point in talks with Leeds has been the £17million asking price, which the Whites appear to be closing in on meeting.
Leeds United pressing on with smart Premier League recruitment with Jaka Bijol deal close
We’re only a few weeks into the summer window, but the arrival of Nmecha as depth and Bijol as a new centre-back is very encouraging.
Bijol looks like Premier League quality and the type of centre-back a side in the bottom half require to stay up.
Great in the air, physically very robust, and solid in possession, Leeds are building for survival in the right manner with this signing – should we find an agreement soon.
