Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand looks set to join Go Ahead Eagles after being released by Arsenal, ending a five-year spell in North London during which the midfielder never made a senior appearance for the club.
According to VoetbalPrimeur, the 21-year-old will return to the Netherlands to join the Deventer-based side, who are preparing for a Europa League campaign following their KNVB Cup triumph and seventh-place Eredivisie finish.
Oulad M’Hand, who joined Arsenal from Feyenoord in 2020, was highly rated in youth circles but saw his development interrupted by a series of injuries. A loan move to Hull City in 2022 ended just six months.
A second loan, this time to Den Bosch for the 2023–24 season, followed a similar trajectory. Though he gained some minutes in the Dutch second tier, he did not do enough to force his way into Mikel Arteta’s plans, and his release by Arsenal this summer was inevitable. He would have counted as a senior squad member next season.
Go Ahead are understood to be targeting Oulad M’Hand to strengthen their midfield, which may soon be depleted by summer exits. Enric Llansana has been linked with Union Saint-Gilloise, while Oliver Antman and Jakob Breum are also drawing interest. The club recently secured extensions for Joris Kramer, Evert Linthorst and Victor Edvardsen, but are pressing ahead with reinforcement plans amid an expected reshuffle.
Born in the Netherlands and of Moroccan descent, Oulad M’Hand has represented the Netherlands at U15 level. He will become a free agent on 30 June, with a move to Go Ahead expected to be completed shortly thereafter.
