Everton have joined the summer transfer battle to sign Mainz full-back Anthony Caci, journalist Rudy Galetti has revealed.
The Toffees, alongside Premier League rivals Fulham, are believed to be keen on the 27-year-old defender’s arrival, having identified him as a potential option at right-back for next season.
Everton are expected to bring in reinforcements on the right-hand side of David Moyes’ backline this summer, with veterans Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman set to depart upon contract expiry.
A new full-back is reportedly a top priority for the Merseysiders this summer, with Caci emerging as a potentially low-cost option alongside West Ham veteran Vladimir Coufal.

According to Galetti, Everton have been closely following Caci’s performances for Mainz this season and consider him a serious target at right-back.
The Toffees are now primed to rival Fulham for the 27-year-old, whose contract with the German club runs until the summer of 2026, and an extension appears unlikely at this stage.
Mainz are said to be open to selling Caci in the coming months and have made him available for less than €10m (£8.5m), amid growing interest from Premier League clubs.
The 'fantastic' Frenchman, who joined Mainz from Strasbourg in the summer of 2022, made 35 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring once and providing seven assists in the Bundesliga.
Everton are eyeing a busy first window under Moyes and are expected to bring in a new striker as well, amid Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s exit on a free transfer.
According to reports, the Toffees now look best placed to land Villarreal number nine Thierno Barry and are ready to intensify their interest in the coming days.
